New Century Turquoise Blue Pitcher. 3rd in the New Century series. Turquoise glass is a color not made by Fenton in 15 years. The piece uses a variety of techniques such as multilayered handpainting, finely detailed gold transfer & handpainted gold covered with crushed glass to create a cascading peony pattern with oriental influences. Has a heart-shaped rim, rib optic, spiral twisted handle. The mould originated in 1948. Each item in this series honors a certain segment of Fenton glass, and this one: "Decorators - Imagination". Bill Fenton signature piece with the New Century backstamp. Measures approx 9-1/2" H.
