Spring 2000 Supplement - Sharon Bragg notified me a couple of weeks ago of new items for Fenton's 2000 Spring supplement, that's part of the reason why the "What's New?" article is a little late this month. I was waiting for some pictures that could be presented with the article. So here is a rundown of Fenton's Spring 2000 offerings, with actually most items shipping in December except for the Blue Burmese.

"Hibiscus" on Blue Burmese - Last month I reported that during the convention Fenton announced new items in Blue Burmese. Well here they are folks, stunning new pieces for the Spring 2000 supplement that I'm sure all Burmese collectors will love. The two items shown on the left are the 7255 QZ 11" Tulip Vase ($89.00) and the 5065 QZ 5" Stylized Cat figurine ($45.00). Two others are not shown, the 7276 QZ 7-1/4" Pitcher ($99.00), and the 2906 QZ 5-1/2" Perfume bottle ($95.00). All of the items are limited in number to 2750 pieces except the Cat figurine at 4750 pieces. Shipping for the Blue Burmese items is expected for February 2000.

Mary Gregory - The delicate hand paintings of Children and animals on glass, usually performing whimsical acts, was a popular decoration started in the last century and used by various glass companies. Fenton has been carrying on the tradition with several "Mary Gregory" items over the last few years, and this year will be no exception. Shown on the right are the 6533 R9 11" Pillar vase ($139.00) and the 3271 RK 6-1/2" Bell ($109.50). The two not shown are the 1509 DW 18" Lamp ($359.00) and the 3281 RQ 9-1/2" Basket ($139.00) which uses the same mould as their "Bluebirds" on Burmese basket used for this years Connoisseur collection. All items are limited to 2350 pieces except the lamp at 1250.
