I first heard about Eric Weber from a Fenton eGroup chat board member who happened to mention a new exclusive in Lotus Mist Burmese, the Epergne as shown on the left with a violets decoration highlighted with a Bumble Bee. At first, I thought the pieces may have been done by a independent artist. But after finding Eric's "Emporium" web site and corresponding with him directly, I soon found out that the Epergne's were indeed decorated by Fenton, and designed by Beverly Cumberledge. Soon, I had my order in for the Epergne, and was pleasantly surprised when it finally arrived.

private glass collection which included many Levay items and also Dorothy Taylor and Mary Walrath items. I had spoken with Mr. Frank Fenton several times gathering information about what it was that I was selling. By a strange twist of fate it turns out that Mr. Fenton's sister was the wife of the minister of our church from my childhood and my Mother was a casual acquaintance of hers. Anyway, I came up with my idea and Fenton and I worked on it from there."

Eric initially ordered 65 Epergnes, but only about 49 made it out of production. Eric's next project was a Lotus Mist vase shown here on the right. He initially planned for 120 of the vases, but only 60 were actually produced. I think Eric found that selling exclusives wasn't as easy as he first envisioned.

Eric's next project was a departure from his Lotus Mist Exlusives being in Blue Burmese, but with the same decoration design. This piece has a unique twist in that
it has a Rosalene crest. 95 of these pieces were produced.

And finally, but certainly not his last exclusive, was a Lotus Mist bell with the "Violets with a Bee" decoration. There were 100 of these bells produced.

Eric's offerings will be shown in John Walk's new book about Fenton Exclusives, and he still has each item still available, but only just a few of the Epergne's. This webmaster finds it surprising that these lovely items
desirable for collectors. They are, after all, Fenton exclusives along with being exclusives for Eric Weber.

Eric's first involvement with Fenton exclusives came with selling other peoples exclusives: "My collection which started in May of 2001 was the brainchild of my being asked to sell a tremendous
