Books
- Become an
Educated Collector!

Since
I just finished an article about buying
Fenton over the Internet in which I stress education, I thought that I should
at least write up a small summary about some of the books available for the collector.
I haven't written any reviews on the books, just basic information. None of the
books are bad, and if you can afford it, all of them should be in your collection.
I do like the Compendium books by John Walk for their wealth in identifying and
pricing Fenton. Also, the books by Margaret and Kenn Whitmyer
are good for the same reasons. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 25 years for their
extensive history about the Fenton Art Glass company, and the 80's and 90's Decade
for information about newer Fenton. (Note: At
the time of this update, The Glass Press and Antique Publications, publisher of
many of the Fenton books, is going out of business. You can still purchase many
of the books on sale at great prices from Antique
Publications while quantities last.)
